The perfect fitting bracelet

How to measure wrist
Measuring wrist with a tape measure.

One of the reasons people have loved my bracelets so much is because they are available in 8 different sizes. That might seem extreme, but there’s nothing worst than wearing an ill-fitting, uncomfortable bracelet. Measure your wrist for the perfect fit. With just a few steps, you can be styling your new bracelet in comfort!

Following are three ways to measure your wrist for the perfect fitting bracelet.

  • ONE – Measuring Tape Measure your wrist using a flexible measuring tape. To determine the circumference of your wrist, wrap the tape measure around your wrist just below the wrist bone, where you would normally wear the bracelet.
  • TWO – Paper Wrap a thin strip of paper around your wrist. Mark on the paper where it begins to overlap. Using a ruler, measure the paper to the mark you made to determine the circumference of your wrist.
  • THREE – String Wrap a piece of string around your wrist. Mark on the string where it begins to overlap. Using a ruler, measure the string to the mark you made to determine the circumference of your wrist.

Find the right size for you.

Now that you know your wrist measurement, you can find the perfect fitting bracelet. You do not ever want to order a bracelet the exact same size as your wrist circumference. It would be too tight, therefore you need to add a little slack. As a general rule of thumb, you will want to add 1/4″ – 1 1/4″. Depending on the fit you desire, the chart below may be helpful. Personally, I love to add about 1″.

Snug-Fit – add 1/4″ to 1/2″

Comfort-Fit – add 3/4″ to 1″

Loose-Fit – add 1″ to 1 1/4″

The bead size matters.

For larger size beaded bracelets you would want to size up a little more to accommodate the thickness of the beads. As well as size down a little bit for a smaller bead.
